This retreat is designed to provide a space for rest, reflection, connection, and presence. To support this experience, we ask all participants to limit distractions by refraining from the use of phones and personal electronic devices.
All participants will have the option to disconnect from personal devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and similar electronics, for the duration of the retreat.
During the Friday night Worship Service devices will be turned off or set to airplane mode and stored in a designated area either in participants rooms or held in a communal holding area.
If a participant feels they need to use their device they can do so away from the community either in a car or closed door room.
A designated emergency contact number will be provided to participants prior to the retreat.
Family members or colleagues may use this number in case of urgent situations. Messages will be relayed promptly.
Exceptions may be granted for medical needs, caregiving responsibilities, or other critical circumstances. Please notify retreat organizers in advance if you require an exception.
We will have designated people to take photographs and video of the retreat activities and all those images will be shared with the participants.
Retreat facilitators and other participants may gently remind each other if devices are used outside permitted guidelines.
By attending the retreat, participants agree to adhere to this policy and support a distraction-free environment for everyone.
