Roberto Mighty

Roberto Mighty is a filmmaker, TV producer, multimedia artist and educator. He is the producer, writer, cinematographer, and editor of two documentary series and a Special currently on nationwide PBS TV stations and streaming. Roberto’s film “Charles Coe, Man of Letters”, won Best Documentary Short at the 2020 Roxbury International Film Festival. In 2018, Roberto was commissioned by former United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky to produce five original documentaries for the Favorite

Poem Project, which is catalogued at the United States Library of Congress. In 2016, Roberto’s narrative short, “Peach Pie”, was an Official Selection at the California International Shorts Festival and the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival/Atlanta. From 2014 - 2016, Roberto was America’s first Artist-in-Residence at a National Historic Landmark Cemetery, where he produced 29 short artistic documentaries and an exhibition website. Roberto's 2011-2012 artist residency at Harvard Forest, resulted in his original multimedia project, “First Contact: Puritans, Native Americans and the Clash Over Land in 1630.” Roberto’s 2011 multimedia project, “Trees of My City”, was exhibited at The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.

Roberto was Adjunct Professor at Emerson College from 2006 - 2018 and was also a Lecturer and Instructor at Boston University and The American Graphics Institute. His coursework includes narrative and documentary cinematography; advanced digital nonlinear editing; undergraduate and graduate documentary production; and storytelling for documentary.
